Istanbul is the first non-North American/European country I’ve visited, and I fell in love. The architecture is absolutely stunning — especially its hybridization of the two due to their geopolitical position.
Attactions include the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace Museum, Basilica Cistern (of Dan Brown’s Inferno notoriety), and the Black Sea from Karaburun.
On the blurry cat — it climbed on me while I was trying to take its picture. Sadly, I had no food for it, but my jacket now bears its marks.
